How do you stop a child from being overweight?
It all begins with education for the parents so they can pass it on to their children. Then the parents have to make the correct choices for their family. If the parents are Obese then the apple usually doesn’t fall far from the tree. Children will do as their parents do unless they have others that can influence their decisions.
Watch this short montage I created to help parents think about making better and healthier changes for their family. Comments are welcome and appreciated!

Beverly,
This montage is very disturbing as it clearly shows the ugliness of childhood obesity. Fat children are NOT cute — they are ill. I see more and more fat children out in public than ever before, and it breaks my heart. Exercise, less screen time, and healthy food choices in the house are keys to helping children grow up to be normal weights. But, parents must be role models…parents who exercise are more likely to have children who exercise. Parents who prepare wholesome meals for their children are more likely to see their children develop normal eating habits, as well as an appreciation for a variety of delicious foods that do not come from a box.
Thanks for your passion and commitment to teaching people about wellness!
