If you are looking for the best way to get yourself known online then first go get a video camera. Which one is best? Check out this Video.
After you get your camera, start shooting video. The more you do it the better you will become. Get a YouTube channel(videos 10 minutes or less)and a Viddler account for any videos longer than 10 minutes.
Make sure when you start “shooting”,(term for taping) that the lighting is correct. Lighting should always be in front of you. Never behind you. Watch this clip. Natural lighting is best.
Use video on every post you do. Use video when you send e-mails. I have found the most amazing tool for video e-mails. It has several other amazing tools you get when you sign up. Check it out here and see all the amazing tools.
I even have an online video business card.
Video is THE BEST tool for branding yourself.
Watch and Listen. I always love your comments.

Beverly,
I have had great success with video. As people watch my videos before they ever speak with me, they get to know me quite well. Video marketing is awesome! Anyone can be successful using this strategy!

You are so right Eddie. Thanks for the comment.

Hi Beverly,
You’re so right, video is such a great way to brand yourself.
I’m amazed by the difference video makes. Seeing a photo of someone doesn’t give much clue to who they are, a lot of people said that after seeing my photos on facebook they didn’t expect the person they saw on video… video has done me a lot of good.
I was resistant at first because I hate the camera but at the same time I wanted people to see the real me!

Beverly,
I agree with you about the power of videos. And I have fun when I create them. But it does take additional time to set up the tripod, get the camera ready, upload it to the computer, etc. The end result has always been highly worth it.

Beverly,
You have some great points there about branding yourself with video. connecting with them through “live” talks lets them see you and who you are.

So true. That’s why I love video so much.Just today as I was emailing someone about an issue she was not reading it the way I was saying it.If I had sent her an video e-mail and told her these things, I bet the situation would have been different. Thanks Val.

Hi Beverly,
You are so right!! Video is the NOW!! We use video email daily and find that it closes the sales for us. We also find that people forward the email on to their friends so we get added exposure that way. We want to use it alot more in our blogging efforts so you will see us coming on the scene!
Thanks for your help and great comments on our facebook & blog

Beverly – thanks for persuasively making the case for using video to get our messages out. Ha, I wanted to submit a webcam comment but my iMac setup won’t play ball. Yes there are so many ways to incorporate video. For example, in TSA’s 1st webinar I loved Gavin Mountford’s advice to do a short video “hello” to welcome new Facebook friends.
You are so inspiring.

Hi Beverley,
I haven’t used a great deal of video before on my blog, but what you said really re-enforced what I’d already been thinking.
I should use more, like you said it’s such an awesome way of marketing and branding ourselves and our expertise.
Thanks so much for you insights Beverley xxx

I think a 46% conversation rate is incredible statistics. I do have to agree with you also that video is an excellent platform to brand yourself.
