Hi Friends! I hope this is a fantastic day for you!

Do you think you can change yourself online? If you have been branding yourself one way, can you make a change without losing followers?

I am a Health Nut. I have always branded myself that way. I am still very passionate about Wellness and I will still have posts on the subject. My Total Wellness TV Site is still up and running.

I have other passions as well and now you will be seeing more of those on this blog. You will be seeing more about Social Media Marketing tips and tools, especially anything to do with video marketing. I even have a mentor I suggest you too follow, Perry Lawrence, aka Ask Mr Video. Check out my recommended resources above. Perry is awesome and so talented.

So how do you change from one kind of person to another? You just do it. Many people have changed professions late in life and do you think they lost friends because of it? No. Social Media is the same thing. If your friends want to stop following you because you realized your passions have shifted, that’s fine. You will have new followers that identify with you.

Here are a few suggestions for you if you are just starting the branding process.
1. Decide on a niche
Is there something you are very passionate about and know who your followers would be for that niche.Organize your blog with material about that passion. Use video with all your posts.

2.Your Profile
Your profile on your blog, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, any site you choose to use should promote the same brand. If you check out my sites you will see the same picture. I am branding myself with the picture along with the posts. Notice most all posts have a video.

3. Start a Blog- If you can buy a domain with your name. www.YourName.com . If your name is taken then try “WhoIsYourName.com” or “TheYourName.com” or MrYourname.com. Do your best to brand your name in the domain URL.

3. Content – Update your content regularly with good information. People will come back when they know you add new and valuable content each week.

4. Use A Lot of Video -My latest and greatest recommendation is this tool Talk Fusion. This Social Media Marketing Company Focuses On Video Technologies. It is the best and most comprehensive tools for video branding I have found. If you give me your e-mail address, I will send you a personal video e-mail. Really cool. Check out my interview with Scott Scales.

Video Example

Branding is easily done if done correctly. Changing your Brand can be done too, it takes work and time.
What would you add to my suggestions above? I am looking forward to your comments.

Webster’s Dictionary gives the definition of satisfaction as fullfillment, gratification, contentment or compensation. As you work toward your dream, do any of these words help you feel like your dream is satisfying you?

When you realized what your dream was did you finally feel complete? If your dream was to find and marry a soulmate and you are married, then you ought to feel contentment. It doesn’t mean your life will always be perfect but you know you are on the right track. A happy marriage gives you a feeling of satisfaction, fullfillment and contentment. Your commitment to this dream gives you the passion and the willingness to make sacrifices to keep the dream.

I believe this will hold true for any dream we have for our future. Ask yourself, “Am I willing to pay the price for my dream?” If you hesitate to answer yes, then your dream may need to be rethought. There isn’t a single person in the world who has achieved a dream without paying a price to reach it. Some pay with their lives or their freedom. Others pay by giving up options or finances or relationships. Again I ask, Are you willing to do whatever it takes, give up whatever you have to, just to make your dream a reality?
“Every journey toward a dream is personal, and as a result, so is the price that must be paid for it”, a quote from John Maxwell’s book, Put Your Dream To The Test.

Look at how many people change their careers after years working in another profession. They go back to school and get another degree or maybe they just change jobs to something completely opposite of what they have done for years. Why does this happen to so many people? I believe it is because we were living someone else’s dream for us. Parents (I am guilty) sometimes tell their children from a young age, “You are so good at talking to people, I know you would be great in a sales position”. Maybe we convinced our daughters to be teachers because that is a great job for a working mom. I taught school for TWENTY years before I finally left. I always wanted to be a mom so I listened to my parents and that is exactly what I did. Was I happy, not really. I should have gone to school and learned about working with the elderly because I love helping them now. I volunteer with senior citizens because that brings me joy to help them.

Dreams must have a strategy to achieve them. There is no magic power in having a dream. You can’t just wait for it. You have to work for it. Mary Webb said, “Saddle your dreams before you ride them.” That means we need to plan to plan. Most people neglect to plan. In John Maxwell’s book, “Put Your Dream To The Test”, he devotes a whole chapter on strategies on how to plan.

If you hate what you are doing in order to pursue your dream then you are on the wrong path. Try to discover why you have set your dream as your goal. Are you paying too high a price for your dream? Maybe your problem is your attitude. The most reliable way to reach a big dream is to broaden yourself.
Never forget that the greatest reward of pursuing a dream is who you become as a result. And that is a good thing, because when you achieve your dream, the world is a better place.

God Bless You in your journey toward your dreams!

The great men and women of history were not great because of what they earned and owned. They were great because they gave themselves to people and causes that continue to live on today. Their dream was to do something that benefited others. Their dream lives on after them because they lived for others.

The ability to answer yes to this question, “Does my dream benefit others?” has been a journey for me. When I was younger I admit I had dreams but in the end the dream was all about what I would achieve and how I would benefit. As I have gotten older my dreams are still there but now I am wanting to help others to acheive their dreams. Instead of thinking “What can I get from others?” I am asking myself,”What can I give to others”? I think that has put me on a better track. Being selfish sure didn’t get me closer to my dreams at all.

Mother Teresa once said, “A day lived without doing something good for others is a day not worth living”. That hit me hard the first time I read it. I read it daily as my mantra.
Thomas Edison said,”I never perfected an invention without thinking of how it would benefit others.” Have you been confronted with that decision?

A dream isn’t worthy of a person’s life if it doesn’t benefit others. I believe that is why we are here: to help other people. I know that is why I am here.

If I can help you in anyway, please contact me.
God Bless!

Accountability means accepting full responsibility for the consequences of our actions, and facing ourselves with the highest
degree of integrity.

Accountability is not an easy challenge. It requires us to exit our comfort zones, and to fully recognize all of our hidden motives,
agendas, and excuses. In a society that tends to focus on blaming the other guy, it becomes increasingly important for the individual to take responsibility for his/her own thoughts and deeds.

Universal law states that for every action there is an equal reaction. Those that recognize this fully appreciate the responsibility for
every thought, word, and action they take. With this wisdom comes forethought, restraint, and awareness of intention. These moments of honesty and ownership give a sense of empowerment that can’t be found in continually playing the role of victim. Although it can be difficult to face situations with total honesty, it feels good when we do. Accountability is the first large step in reclaiming personal power and freedom.

Exercise:

Pay attention to an area where you have not accepted full accountability for your actions (and we all have at least one if we
are honest).

How have your thoughts shaped your intentions and actions?

Reflect on this and then make a statement accepting accountability for your role in this. How does this action affect you emotionally and spiritually? Have you allowed others to have power over you? Even when we are wronged by others, we have a choice to do
the right thing, or to justify the wrong ones.

You have a choice. What will it be?

God Bless!
Beverly
