Great video Beverly…I totally agree with you. Your headlines, whether it be an email, a blog post an ad or anything else are the most important part of your content. If people don’t feel compelled to open or click, then you won’t get much of a result. I think the more striking your headline the better, I’ve found unique headlines work better than the standard headlines people use in order to please the search engines (for blogging and articles). It’s important to have your keyword in there, but you can always use it in a unique way. Thanks for the reminder x

Thanks for this great video Beverly. I’m just now taking the brave step outside my comfort zone and doing video. It’s really fun and enjoyable. One of the things you ask yourself ……”What did I wait so long?”
Anyway….I digress from your topic…..getting emails opened. Your tips gave me some things to think about as a move forward.

Agree, the titles or headlines are critical and need to be targeted to what you are offering so people will open them and want to find out more. I am so used to seeing the same titles now for certain types of emails I don’t event open them now – the more unique and targeted, the more likely it is that I will open it up.

Great advice, Beverly. Most people don’t think about their audience when they write their titles and subject lines… but the more you can craft your title as the answer to a question your target reader is already asking, the better off you are (and the more people will actually click and read your stuff).

What a great post Beverly – it certainly got my attention.
At times I feel we may at times write headlines that explain the post contents, so the reader gets what we promised, but it then is a flat headline.
We need to add curiosity.
And we will be hearing a lot more of that when……

Good stuff, Beverly! I love that – was just thinking the email I sent today might have been kind of boring, but it’s still getting opened. If that rate slows down, then I’ll be examining the subjects AND whether my content makes people want to come back for more. Thank you!!!

If people like you then they will open with almost any title but new viewers sometimes need to be enticed.

Actually the single most important thing we can do for our e-mails, our blog posts and for our capture pages is pay greater attention to our headlines.
Those headlines or subjectlines will absolutely determine whether they actually open..
I use the curiosity factor most of the time, works like a charm!

Great video about the titles of our blog posts.
They count for more than 80% on the decision if they will be opened.
There is an art to writing catchy headlines,it is important to know who our target market is to leverage their needs;)
Thanks Beverly!
